Roots and Horizons launches its first Capacity Building Workshops in Portugal

The Roots and Horizons project has successfully delivered its first two Capacity Building Workshops in Portugal, bringing together participants both in person at the Rural Impact Centre in Miranda do Douro and online via Zoom.

These initial workshops marked the beginning of the project’s activities in Portugal, providing a collaborative space for learning, reflection, and the exchange of experiences among individuals interested in developing entrepreneurial and social impact initiatives.

Throughout the workshops, participants explored key topics related to the design and development of sustainable initiatives, from defining purpose and strategy to building distinctive value propositions, equipping them with practical tools to transform ideas into concrete projects.

The hybrid format, combining in-person and online participation, broadened the initiative’s reach, making the workshops more accessible and encouraging the involvement of participants from different regions.

Rural Move would like to thank everyone who took part in these first workshops, both in person and via Zoom, for their engagement and commitment throughout this important first stage of the project.

The Capacity Building Workshops will continue over the coming months, further supporting the development of skills, entrepreneurship, and social innovation across rural territories.
